The past 8 years of business (2 of which were during a pandemic) have taught us some rather important lessons. Here are 8 key lessons we have learned running a NJ marketing agency:

1. Start with a solid foundation

Set yourself up for success with a strong infrastructure – have the proper systems in place to accomplish your working goals.

2. Have a great team to support your business

Having the right team members in place to support your mission, vision and goals will help your business thrive. Can’t hire a team at the moment? 3. Be consistent

Consistency in business is critical, you must “stick to it” during the ups and downs. Do not just set it and forget it with your business (or your marketing).

4. Ask for help when you need it

Whether they are colleagues in your trade association, friends in your industry, or family members – it’s important to remember to ask for help when you need it. You’ll be surprised how many people want to see you succeed.

5. Grow your network

Continue to reach out and connect with new people in your industry, associations, and community to expand your network.

6. Be adaptable and resilient

The pandemic showed us all how little control we have over certain things. Adaptability and resiliency are character traits that enable us to be flexible when things don’t go as planned. Be ready to pivot and change with the market to better serve your clients.

7. Track, monitor and measure your data

Our tagline “Action + Measurement = Results” reminds us that you need these ingredients for success. Analyze your data to see what is working and what needs improvement.


The most important lesson of all, saved for last. Take the time to have fun (in your business and personal life). You know what they say about all work and no play.
